Sakhawat Ali - Education Fellow Teacher
Class of 2026
PDCN, Aga Khan University.

Sakhawat Ali - Education Fellow Teacher

"I am Sakhawat Ali. I got my early education from my birth place Tormik, Roundu, where I completed my middle education. After completing my early education, I enrolled at Boys Degree College Skardu, where I studied Pre-Engineering. With a desire to pursue higher education, I moved to Karachi and secured admission to the University of Karachi. However, due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, I had to return to my hometown. Determined to continue my studies, I gained admission to the University of Baltistan, Skardu, in the Department of Languages and Cultural Studies. My academic excellence earned me the prestigious Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship, which supported me in completing my university education. Alongside my studies, I actively contributed to the education sector by serving in several well-known educational institutions. I worked with Lajverd Visiting School (GLOF-II Project) and participated in different educational and community surveys across Skardu. I also served as a teacher at Leader Public School Skardu, Uswa Public School Amir Petal Campus Skardu, Baltistan Higher Secondary School, and The Educators School Skardu Campus, where I gained valuable teaching experiences and helped improve students' learning. To further strengthen my professional skill set, I successfully completed specialized training in shorthand and MS Office courses from Next Planners. This training equipped me with high-speed shorthand writing skills for accurate and rapid documentation, along with comprehensive proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. Through these courses, I learned to create professional reports, manage data efficiently, design engaging presentations, and handle administrative tasks with greater accuracy. These technical competencies have significantly boosted my confidence and efficiency, enabling me to prepare lesson plans digitally, maintain student records smoothly, and support school documentation more effectively in my teaching career. Currently, I am proudly serving as an Education Fellow Teacher at Government Boys High School Tormik, Roundu, under the supervision of Aga Khan University – Professional Development Centre North (AKU-PDCN). Through this role, I am committed to improving the quality of education, promoting activity-based learning, and inspiring students to achieve academic excellence."
